PARKING

Entry into the parking lot is an event flat fee of $4 from 7:30 pm until 10:30pm. After 10:30 pm there will be no vehicle entry but entry on foot is still available. Those who show their CMA membership parking placard/membership card will be given free entry.  

FAQs

Can I receive a refund? There are no refunds for cancellations or "no shows." If you are unable to make it to the grunion run, the ticket purchase will be considered a donation to the Aquarium.

Are the grunion guaranteed to be on the beach? CMA cannot guarantee there will be grunion on the beach. Grunion season is the best chance you have of seeing grunion. Refunds will not be issued if the grunion do not come out or are few in numbers. 

What should I wear? We recommend wearing warm clothing and bringing a flashlight. It can get really cold on the coast and often are still on the beach near midnight.

Can I catch grunion? All events are during the closed season. No grunion may be collected.

What type of payment does the parking attendant take? The parking attendant will only take credit cards.

Will the CMA Gift Shop be open? Yes, the CMA Gift Shop will be open late for guests.

Is there a place to eat? Limited snacks and drinks are available for purchase in the CMA Gift Shop. On weekend nights (4/26, 6/8 and 6/23) food trucks will be available beginning at 7:30 pm.
